Help & FAQ

A few useful answers before you start, and when you get stuck.

Common questions

Are the tools free?

Yes. All six tools are free to use and require no account.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Conversion runs in your browser. Google Analytics measures visits and tool activity separately, and may use cookies. Our custom events do not include image data or filenames.

How many files can I select?

Up to 20 files at a time, with a 20 MiB input limit per file. Standard limits are 16 megapixels per image, 8192 pixels per side, and 64 MiB of total results. Known low-memory devices use 8 megapixels and 16 MiB of results.

Why is a small file rejected?

Compressed file size and decoded image size differ. A small file can expand to more pixels than your browser can safely handle. Try a smaller image or export a large TIFF one page at a time.

Will conversion improve image quality?

Changing a format cannot recover missing detail. JPEG output introduces lossy compression. PNG output preserves decoded pixels without adding another lossy encoding step, but cannot reverse earlier JPEG losses.

Can I download all results together?

Yes. After two or more results are ready, use Download ZIP. Individual download links are also available. Keep the page open until you have downloaded what you need.

Why does an AVIF, TIFF, or SVG fail?

AVIF depends on native browser decoding. TIFF variants and very large scans may be unsupported. SVG files must be self-contained; scripts, external resources, and some advanced drawing features are rejected. Each tool lists its own limits.

Where did my converted files go?

Results are kept only in the current page’s memory until you choose new files or leave. Downloaded copies are usually in your device’s Downloads folder, depending on your browser settings. We cannot recover results after you leave.

Can I use these tools on a phone?

The layout adapts to phone screens. Conversion support and download behavior depend on the browser and available memory. If a file fails, try fewer or smaller images, or a different browser.
